Come and experience one of the most unique customs of the Serbian Orthodox People - the SLAVA Celebration of our Patron St. Sava - First Archbishop of Serbia and Enlightener of the Serbian People!
Significance to St. Sava's Legacy: Every May, the Serbian Orthodox Church commemorates a pivotal moment in its history: the 1594 burning of Saint Sava’s relics. This act was carried out by Ottoman forces on Belgrade’s Vračar plateau in a deliberate attempt to crush the spirit of Serbian uprisings and suppress their national identity.
