Homecoming & Sarma Cook Off!

Our St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church (McKeesport-Duquesne) is having a Homecoming & Sarma (Stuffed Cabbage Roll) Cook Off! This will be celebrating our 122nd Parish Anniversary!
- Sat. Nov. 4th (3:30pm-6:30pm): Sarma (stuffed cabbage roll) Cook-off
- Sat. Nov. 4th (7:00pm-11:00pm): Dance with Serbian Music by Orkestar Pobeda
- Sun. Nov. 5th (10:00am): Divine Liturgy
- Sun. Nov. 5th (12:00pm-3:00pm): Church Banquet/Program - Celebrating 122 years!
Help needed with the following committee assignments:
- Outreach Committee: Focusing on contacting BOTH the lapsed individuals of our community as well as other parishes and communities.
- Dance Committee: Focusing on providing the entertainment and bar necessities for the dance on Saturday, Nov. 4th.
- Sarma "Cook-Off" Committee: Focusing on the logistics of the Sarma "Cook-Off" Contest to be held on Saturday afternoon - practical aspects involved in making this "a go" for our Parish!
- Public Relations Committee: Focusing on publicizing this event early enough and extensively enough to ensure maximum exposure for us!
- Parking Committee: Focusing on making arrangements for additional parking sites and possible shuttles to the Church Complex from same.
- Accommodations/Lodging Committee: Focusing on getting hotel rooms for out-of-town guests. (Reserving a block of rooms, etc...)
- Anniversary Tickets Committee: Focusing on providing appropriate entrance admission tickets for this weekend's events.

Visitors requiring accommodations will find several hotel options within the communities of West Mifflin, Monroeville, and North Huntingdon/Irwin. These communities are located within a ten mile driving radius of St. Sava Church. The hotels listed below have rooms currently available at standard rates. There are also many other hotel options available in these communities and within the Pittsburgh area.
