SHADELAND CONTRIBUTION APPEAL
Most beloved Clergy, Monastics and Faithful,
For us, who are members of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the United States of America, Thanksgiving Day, much like our Serbian Slava, is a time to gather with family and friends and offer thanks to God for His many blessings. One of these blessings in the Eastern American Diocese, for which we have great cause to offer thanks, is our St. Sava Children’s Camp at the Most Holy Mother of God Monastery Estate in Shadeland, Pennsylvania. Every summer, our Camp brings boundless joy, learning and fellowship to our children and our youth.
In that very spirit of thanksgiving, out of our paternal care for the future and good estate of our sanctuaries, we now appeal to you as your Spiritual Father, a former camper and head counselor, on behalf of our St. Sava Camp in Shadeland at this year’s Giving Tuesday. We ask that with your voluntary contributions, to whatever extent possible, together, we ensure the successful continuation of the spiritual, cultural and educational progress at this most cherished institution for present and future generations of our children and youth.
DONATIONS
We invite you to join us in becoming Stewards of the St. Sava Summer Camp by offering a monthly or annual donation in benefit of our Camp. This fund is for the purpose of providing necessary maintenance and ongoing improvements to our Shadeland Camp. All income will be invested in a restricted fund, solely for the upkeep and expansion of our St. Sava Camp. Your donation will go a long way in meeting immediate and future needs, and truly help ongoing development. This will allow our Summer Camp, which has been in operation since 1953, to remain in top condition.

Most Beloved, our Children's Camp, which belongs to all of us, is an assurance of our present and future, as both depend on us. Here, we especially appeal to our Shadeland Alumni, who have enriched their lives with wonderful memories, experiences and life-long friendships gained during their stay at camp, to actively promote this Stewardship appeal for our camp!
We offer our deepest appreciation to our sisters from the Diocesan Federation of Circles of Serbian Sisters, who together with the parents of campers that join them, and our Estate and Project Managers, execute an annual labor of love, by diligently working to keep camp fees at a minimum. However, we can and must continue to enrich our Shadeland Camp experience for all, and in so many ways, through this fundraising endeavor. Therefore, we invite you: Join us TODAY, to insure our TOMORROW!
